"Our goal in estate planning and administration is to fulfill the client’s goals in an efficient and economical manner." – William E. Davis

William E. Davis was admitted to the practice of law in 1972.  While in law school Bill worked as a Certified Public Accountant in private practice and in the Trust Department of Old National Bank (now U.S. Bank).  Upon graduating from Gonzaga University Law School and being admitted to the Washington State Bar, Bill entered the United States Army as an artillery officer.  Upon returning from the Army, Bill continued to work in the trust department of Old National Bank (now US Bank) as a trust officer administering estates and working with eastern Washington lawyers in the areas of estate planning and estate administration.  Bill left the bank and entered into private practice in 1975 in Spokane, Washington with the then firm of Richter, Wimberly, and Erikson.  Bill moved to the Tri-Cities joining our firm in February 1979.  Bill is also a Certified Public Account (inactive).  The combination of his accounting background, his legal education, and his working for a bank trust department, (not only as an accountant, but also as a trust officer) gives him the background and experience to assist each individual client in planning their estate to achieve their goals in an efficient manner, at the least the cost, and at the least exposure to Estate and succession taxes.

Bill’s abilities and dedication to his areas of practice has earned him the distinguished Martindale Hubble AV rating.

Bill has endeavored to help people through public speaking concerning estate planning and estate and asset preservation.  Bill has served on numerous Washington State Bar and local Bar committees and boards to ensure that the legal profession maintains high standards in providing legal services to the public.

Bill’s practice takes on several forms of planning for asset preservation, including business transactions and real estate.  Estate planning is more than just a Will or a Trust, it includes life time protection, guardianships, transferring of assets and preservation of assets from generation to generation and long term planning for the client, their assets and their families.

Bill also practices in the areas of State and Federal water law.  Water is a very important and valuable resource in our area, and like other rights, water rights need to be protected.

Outside the Office

Bill has been married to Barbara Davis for over 44 years. Together they raised five children that have each graduated from Pasco High School. Bill is a licensed private pilot and enjoys outdoor sports of water-skiing, snow skiing, hunting, fishing and hiking.
