Ryan Blodgett, J.D., LL.M. (Tax) joined Leavy Schultz Davis in 2016, bringing extensive experience serving clients in tax, business, estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters.
Ryan Blodgett serves families with estates large and small, helping to avoid tax, simplify, and protect assets. Ryan collaborates with clients to create estate plans involving wills, trusts, and family limited liability entities. Ryan is well-versed in utilizing advanced estate planning techniques to plan for and avoid income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
Ryan Blodgett advises businesses in general legal matters, transactions, corporate governance, compliance, and tax planning. Ryan has assisted in many stock and asset purchases on behalf of closely-held businesses, always positioning clients for protective, tax-advantaged outcomes.
Ryan was born and raised in the Tri-Cities, WA and graduated from Kamiakin High School. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in English at Brigham Young University, Ryan earned his law degree and a Master of Laws in Taxation at the University of Denver. After law school, Ryan practiced with a law firm in Denver for three years, serving clients in trust and estate, business and tax planning matters. Ryan and his wife returned to the Tri-Cities in 2014 to raise their kids in the community where they enjoy deep roots. Ryan practiced law in the Tri-Cities as a solo attorney for two years and also worked as a tax professional for a regional CPA firm in Kennewick, WA, assisting farming corporations and cooperatives, land partnerships, medical professionals, trusts and estates, charitable and exempt organizations, and individuals in their tax planning and compliance obligations. Ryan brings the unique perspective of a tax professional to any matter.

In his free time, Ryan most enjoys exercise, playing guitar, exploring the Pacific Northwest and spending time with his family.
